About The Position

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer focused on Ads Quality at Moloco, you will drive the development and optimization of advanced machine learning models that power our ad-serving platform, directly influencing the effectiveness and efficiency of our advertising solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful ML solutions in production.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in Python, TensorFlow, Jax, or PyTorch and proficiency with large-scale data processing tools such as Spark or Hadoop.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where requirements may evolve.
• Show experience designing, building, and deploying ML models for ad quality, recommendation systems, or similar domains.
• Possess a solid understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation, and A/B testing methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, adapting messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrate a passion for continuous learning and applying cutting-edge research to real-world problems.
• Lead and mentor others, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing (if people management is part of your background or interests).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize large-scale machine learning models to improve ad relevance, user engagement, and campaign performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate business objectives into robust ML solutions.
• Analyze massive datasets to identify patterns, diagnose issues, and uncover opportunities for model and system improvements.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of ML projects, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and monitoring in production environments.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient ML pipelines and infrastructure.
• Conduct rigorous offline and online experiments (A/B testing) to validate model performance and impact.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional team members.
• Stay current with the latest research and industry trends in machine learning, applying new techniques to enhance Moloco’s ad quality.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
