We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Engineer Logistics based out of Orlando, FL. These other locations may also be considered: Bellevue, NE., McLean, VA., or Huntsville, AL. As a Staff Logistics Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Cross-Domain Handling of Releasable Data (CHORD) portfolio. CHORD is a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) two-domain Cross Domain Solution (CDS). The CHORD portfolio comprises multiple contract awards and with various customers. The successful candidate will be exceptionally meticulous, collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & personal responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of seeking the best performance from everyone.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related technical experience; or Master's degree in a relevant field and 10 years of related technical experience; or PhD in a relevant field and 8 years of related technical experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coordinating directly with customers and end users for logistics and sustainment activities.
  • Experience leading logistics and sustainment activities for a large and complex software system for a US DoD Customer.
  • Experience leading a team to manage the logistics activities throughout the entire lifecycle of a large and complex software system.
  • Experience coordinating with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Support activities across a program portfolio.
  • Review and establish processes for effective and comprehensive sustainment of product line activities and individual contracts.
  • Establish and maintain the plans and procedures for fielding, sustainment, and support.
  • Maintain awareness of sustainment status, plan logistics activities, and communicate status and challenges with program leadership.
  • Review logistics and sustainment requirements and establish processes.
  • Recommend tool and test equipment.
  • Establish calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks.
  • Perform maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
  • Review handbooks for technical adequacy.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
  • Plan and contribute to proposal efforts.
