The Admissions Hospitality and Operations Assistant serves as a welcoming presence and operational support representative for the East Georgia Swainsboro campus. This role is essential in creating a warm, professional environment for prospective students and guests while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of admissions document processing and administrative workflows. By blending high-touch hospitality with behind-the-scenes precision, the specialist helps advance our mission of access and student success through remarkable service and seamless operations. The Assistant champions a student-centered approach grounded in service, collaboration, and excellence.

  • Greet and assist prospective students, families, and campus visitors with warmth, professionalism, and brand-aligned hospitality
  • Support campus visitation activities as needed, including check-in, materials preparation, and coordination with tour and event staff
  • Receive, organize, scan, and index incoming documents related to Admissions and other enrollment services
  • Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries with efficiency, clarity, and care
  • Distribute daily mail, maintain office supplies, and coordinate maintenance of office equipment and shared resources
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, and other clerical tasks
  • Train and guide student workers in front desk and clerical procedures as needed, fostering a culture of service and accuracy
  • Assist with the coordination of testing and management of records and logs
  • Participate in special projects and orientation programming to support enrollment operations
  • Ensure compliance with document retention policies and contribute to the continuous improvement of admissions workflows
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of related experience in customer service, administrative support, or document processing
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Prior experience in admissions, hospitality, or student services
  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner and document indexing systems
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including first-generation and rural students
