Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a Staff Financial Operations Analyst to play a key strategic role at the intersection of finance, technology, and product strategy. In this position, you will lead financial analysis and planning for three critical areas: (1) the migration of LQTC’s on-premise systems to a cloud infrastructure, (2) the go-to-market pricing strategy for a new SaaS offering, and (3) managing the operating budgets for our technology teams. You will partner closely with IT, Operations, and the Growth offices to ensure financially sound decisions and optimize value. This role involves forecasting and managing cloud costs (applying FinOps principles to support cost-efficient cloud usage) and developing data-driven pricing models for our SaaS product to maximize market competitiveness and profitability. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with strong systems acumen who can drive cost optimization, strategic pricing, and robust financial planning to support LQTC’s growth and innovation objectives. This position is intended to be performed within commuting distance of Reston, Va. (Leidos Global Headquarters).

Requirements

  • Experience with cloud financial management or FinOps in a business setting – e.g. knowledge of AWS/Azure pricing models, using cost management tools (AWS, Azure, etc.), or holding a Cloud Practitioner or FinOps certification.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 7+ years of professional level experience in Pricing or Finance or a relevant type of role.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience contributing to pricing strategy or financial planning for a SaaS or software product launch (especially B2B workflow software).
  • Understanding of SaaS metrics and pricing models (subscription tiers vs. usage-based pricing).
  • Background in healthcare technology finance or government contracting finance is a plus.
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal contracting regulations, VA programs, or medical services operations can help contextualize the role’s initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives or projects.
  • Experience working closely with IT teams, procurement, and product development in a finance business partner capacity.
  • A track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience utilizing Technology Business Management (TBM) to develop business cases and rationalize spend decisions.
  • MBA is a plus
  • Tableau, Power BI or similar application experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models to track and optimize cloud usage and spending; forecast workload demand, volume growth, seasonal variations, and cost trends to enable strategic budgeting and effective decision making on cloud license agreements.
  • Serve as the finance lead on cloud migration projects. Document and track migration costs (labor, cloud services) against budget and business case estimates. Support business case development to measure ROI on cloud-related proposals (e.g. migrations, new implementations)
  • Collaborate with Operations, CIO, CTO, and Growth leaders to develop financial models and go-to-market pricing strategies for a new commercial SaaS product. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, customer value metrics, infrastructure costs, and margin targets to inform pricing strategies.
  • Maintain the operating budgets for our two technology divisions (the Chief Technology Office and CIO Services) ensuring that the budgets are both coherent and balanced between sustainment costs with investment/project activities.

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as necessary
