General Responsibilities: Diagnose and develop repair/restoration solutions for the built environment. Projects are primarily facility and property condition assessments and may include detailed evaluations and test building systems. Assessment techniques include visual examination, document review and take-offs, and estimation of capital projects. Some projects may include non-destructive testing, instrumentation and load testing, laboratory testing, and destructive examinations. Client deliverables range from reports of findings and recommendations to development of restoration design documents and construction oversight/administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in facility management, building science, or related building field and 5-7 years' experience in facility assessment. Or in lieu of a degree, 9-11 years' related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
  • Ability to travel locally, throughout the west coast, and possibly other states nationally. Anticipated approximately 50%
  • Ability to walk 10k+ steps on a daily basis (weeks-long intervals).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read as built / construction documents and perform take-offs.
  • Experience using tablets and other electronic mobile devices.

Responsibilities

  • Career level Facilities professional responsible for independently managing and executing projects.
  • Plans, schedules, conduct and/or coordinates facility and property assessments, inspections, data collection and testing.
  • Assists in preparation of client proposals, cost estimates, as well as routine and complex client deliverables.
  • Serves as advisor to junior-level project team members.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
