About The Position

D&K is seeking an environmental engineer with 0 to 5 years of experience conducting design and producing engineering drawings for civil and/or environmental based projects. This position will provide the opportunity to work directly with clients and advance projects that include a wide variety of civil, and environmental projects focused on design services for water resource projects, commercial development, agricultural facilities, recreational facilities, and municipal infrastructure projects. Duties include engineering-based planning, design, and construction phase assignments on a range of projects. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, skilled communicator, and a team player. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; preference may be given to applicants with knowledge in ArcGIS.

Requirements

Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering
Approx. 0-5 years' previous experience
EIT License requirement
Proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D preferred

Nice To Haves

ArcGIS skills preferred

Responsibilities

Will work on engineering, writing, schedule and budget management, to client coordination and other general project engineering duties.
Provide conceptual, preliminary and final design engineering and construction management under the direction of a project manager for a variety of civil engineering projects. Work tasks are likely to include: Investigations, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, development of design details, plan and technical specification development and cost estimating.
Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, and design projects.
Establish a working relationship with the other staff, and be an effective team member of the Environmental Services Division.
