About The Position

For more than 100 years, Purina has led the charge in revolutionizing pet food production and its ability to enrich the lives of pets everywhere. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll lead the design, estimation, justification, and execution of capital projects. Work collaboratively as you proactively communicate with cross-functional teams to drive results. You’ll investigate and resolve plant operational concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of safety, quality, processes, productivity, and efficiency. Spearhead operational optimization through planned equipment maintenance and facility improvements as well as timely troubleshooting of manufacturing systems. Direct the installation of new equipment and automation enhancements and provide training for plant personnel. Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including safety, quality, and cost control. Support maintenance team leaders and provide engineering assistance as needed. Provide utilities management expertise to ensure energy efficiency, environmental prioritization and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in plant engineering, specifically project management within a manufacturing, production, or military environment.
