Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to support a program out of our McClellan, CA location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph.
  • Experience in systems engineering, requirements & verification, test plan/strategy.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Experience in an engineering team lead role.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI with poly.
  • Experience with Airborne SIGINT Systems and/or Classified programs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to also include lessons learned from real-time performance.
  • Develop new procedures as required.
  • Interface with program and customer personnel.
