Staff Engineer / Sr. Staff Engineer (Environmental Or Civil)
About The Position
STAFF ENGINEER / SR. STAFF ENGINEER (ENVIRONMENTAL OR CIVIL) Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of San Antonio, Texas is looking to hire an organized full-time Staff or Senior Staff Engineer . This is a great opportunity for a recent or upcoming graduate in Civil Engineering , Environmental Engineering , or a related field who wants to gain hands-on experience in environmental, water resources, and civil engineering projects . In this role, you will work with experienced engineers and project managers on a mix of fieldwork and office-based assignments , supporting projects involving site investigations, environmental sampling, technical reporting, engineering analysis, permitting, and AutoCAD-based project support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience; internships are a plus
- Strong interest in fieldwork and applied engineering problem-solving
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed

Responsibilities
- Assist with field investigations and engineering support for environmental, water resources, and civil projects
- Collect and document soil, groundwater, surface water, and other field data
- Support site inspections, monitoring, and field documentation
- Prepare technical reports, tables, figures, and memoranda
- Assist with AutoCAD drawings, plan sheets, and project figures
- Perform calculations, data review, and spreadsheet-based analysis
- Support permitting, compliance, and stormwater-related documentation
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients
- Maintain accurate field logs and safety documentation
- Follow company health and safety procedures in field and office settings
