Requirements

• Strong power device layout skills with a good understanding of layout design principles and best practices
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Cadence Virtuoso, DRC, LVS)
• Experience with pcell programming
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) are required
• Able to work independently on challenging problems and meet tape out deadlines

Nice To Haves

• Experience with circuit design

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with globally located project managers and design engineers to understand project requirements, align on design rules, and finalize chip floor plans
• Work with package engineers to determine pad locations and pad sizes
• Estimate the schedule for the layout delivery and identify areas of complexity that need early investigation
• Perform the physical design of advanced Silicon and GaN power devices (including mono reticles, pizza masks and PCM)
• Perform design rule checks, electrical rule checks, layout versus schematic checks and resolve errors
• Conduct design review sessions with project teams prior to tape out
• Fulfill tape out procedures and release data to the mask vendor
• Train others in standard layout procedures for power devices
