About The Position

Our client is a US-based technology company headquartered in New York City, delivering AI-driven digital solutions and consulting services that transform businesses and drive measurable value. With offices across multiple countries, the company is now investing in a new engineering centre in Warsaw, recognizing the exceptional skill and culture of Polish software professionals. Their integrated ecosystem combines PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), and S&C (Solutions & Consulting Suite). We are seeking an experienced Java Architect to lead the design, development, and architecture of scalable, robust software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor developers, and ensure that architectural strategy aligns with business objectives. This role requires both strong technical depth and leadership excellence.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Java (Spring, Spring Boot) for building back-end services.
  • Proven ability in RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of front-end integration (React, Redux) and responsive design.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, ORM frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM) and event-driven architectures.
  • 3+ years in an architectural or technical leadership role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years in software development with strong focus on Java.

Responsibilities

  • Define and document scalable, secure application architecture using Java (back-end) and React (front-end).
  • Mentor teams, drive technical decisions, and enforce best practices.
  • Lead the design of complex systems integrating front-end and back-end layers.
  • Conduct and oversee code reviews to ensure maintainable, high-quality software.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance.
  • Partner with product and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Identify risks early and ensure performance optimization, high availability, and security.
