Job Summary: We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help design, develop, and test the PayPal iOS Consumer Application. At PayPal, we work together on small, collaborative teams. We’re passionate about code quality and our people and always are working to find new ways to perfect our processes and product lifecycle.We work closely with our design, content, and product teams to build, test, and iterate on new solutions to customers problems. This role will also be one of leadership and direction. Expect to teach and mentor others about the various things you’ll learn along the way. You'll design, develop, and optimize core systems powering millions of transactions daily, delivering innovative solutions that delight customers and drive business success.

Requirements

• Proficient with Swift 5+
• Familiarity with offline RESTful APIs to connect iOS application to back-end services.
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with performance and memory tuning
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Proficient understanding of Git and familiarity with continuous integration
• 8 plus years’ experience in Swift coding

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on mobile development experience.
• Experience in designing, developing and delivering software and/or platforms (libraries)
• Deep expertise in mobile technologies and architecture.
• Strong object-oriented skills including design, coding and testing patterns.
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).
• Ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
