Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is searching for a Staff Industrial Engineer Level 5 to become the Technical Lead of our Industrial Engineering and Operations Management team of qualified, diverse individuals in Clearfield, UT. This position will be filled as a Level 5 (Staff Level) Industrial Engineer. This position will be located primarily in Clearfield, Utah, with expected travel up to 50% to other Locations. This position is on-site and cannot be performed remotely. The Industrial Engineering Team is an integral part of day-to-day operations and routinely works alongside many other organizations. This is a team that comes together to learn, collaborate, and overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field with 12 years of experience as an Engineer in the following industries; Aerospace, Industrial, Productions, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Systems or Process; OR Master of Science Degree in STEM field with 10 years of experience in the mentioned fields as an Engineer; OR PhD in STEM field with 9 years of experience in mentioned industries as an Engineer
• At least 10 years' experience in Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations or Production Engineering
• 8+ years of Experience implementing and using complex scheduling
• 5+ years of Strong program execution skills; demonstrated ability to meet program schedule change requests, forecasting, and schedule milestones
• 5+ years Strong partnership/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team
• Manufacturing Execution System (MES), MRP/SAP/Oracle or related experience
• Experience leading teams or projects
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, excel, including macros and pivot tables
• Experience with data mining/data analysis
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies including, but not limited to, Toyota Production System, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma and Agile manufacturing etc.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. Clearance is required to start, but not to apply

Responsibilities

• Preparing, developing and coordinating the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet all objectives
• Ensuring manufacturing schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
• Implementing scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to: Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA), Schedule Performance, Health Metrics and Analysis
• Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently
• Build scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints
• Develop optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraint
• Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams
• Works with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centers
• Guides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategies
• Leads and drives positive change using iterative and agile methodologies
• Creates new metrics and data visualizations to track performance
• Provides weekly and monthly status and reporting
• Tracking plans and schedules
• Creating, maintaining and validating Schedule data
• Performing risk analysis and management
• Identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts
• Utilizing Gantt, milestone charts, Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances
