Ready to shape the future of resilient communities? Verdantas is seeking a driven Staff I Engineer to join our growing environmental team. As a Staff I Engineer, you'll dive into site investigations, support design and remediation efforts, perform field sampling and inspections, and help develop reports and permitting documents, all while gaining hands-on experience and collaborating with experts to solve real-world environmental challenges. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or Environmental Resource Management.
  • 0-2 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D a plus.
  • Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software.
  • Knowledge of green infrastructure/water infrastructure such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS software is a plus.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare or assist with preparation of health and safety plans, and implements health and safety plans, including client specific requirements and documentation such as forms, job safety analysis (JSAs), etc.
  • Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing and other methods.
  • Assist in preparing detailed plans and technical specifications.
  • Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation.
  • Perform other engineering related tasks for projects (i.e. designs, drawing, site inspections etc.) under the supervision of senior engineers.
