About The Position

This is an R&D/Developer role and part of L+G’s Platform Development team. The Staff Engineer, DevSecOps will be responsible for understanding the environment and deployment needs of a GCP, multi-cloud and on-premises software solution. The Staff Engineer, DevSecOps will liaison with our global IT, Security and CICD teams to define, architect, get approval for and implement IaC, CAC and software deployment installers that meet modern security standards for our software solution. An understanding of networking, network configurations and firewalls rules is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code and Networking as Code
  • 2+ years of experience with HELM
  • 2+ years of experience with GitLab Runners or the equivalent
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and tools like ArgoCD, Harbor, Jfrog, etc
  • Understanding of certificates, certificate management, PKI
  • 6+ years of experience building Linux and Windows software installers
  • 4+ years of experience with Bash and PowerShell scripts
  • 3+ years of Kubernetes experience
  • 4+ years of Docker experience
  • 6+ years of experience troubleshooting environments and software installation/upgrade issues

Nice To Haves

  • GIT, Gerrit, GitLab, Azure DevOps and HELM experience preferred
  • Continuous Monitoring experience using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus is plus
  • Experience with configuring IoT devices, meter experience is a plus
  • Excellent Communications Skills (Verbal & Written)
  • The ability to work on a globally distributed team and 3rd party partners
  • Strong writing skills to document deployment guides for Operations and our on-premises customers

Responsibilities

  • Review, merge, and manage infrastructure repository pull requests and CI/CD pipeline changes.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ArgoCD-based deployment pipelines to ensure release stability.
  • Update and release HELM charts for new feature rollouts and bug fixes.
  • Monitor Kubernetes cluster health, scale pods, and optimize resource usage.
  • Automate vulnerability scanning and artifact promotion workflows within Harbor and JFrog, ensuring secure, compliant delivery models.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters: writing and maintaining manifests and Helm charts, handling scaling, upgrades, and rollbacks across multiple environments.
  • Respond to on-call issues related to deployment or infrastructure incidents.
  • Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks using scripts or CD pipeline enhancements.
  • Coordinate with development and QA teams on environment readiness and deployment schedules.
  • Keep documentation, deployment guides, and runbooks up to date.
