Taptap Send is looking for a Tech Lead to join our growing engineering team and guide the evolution of our backend systems as we scale. This role is not just about technical performance, but also about supporting the internal human processes that power much of our product. You will work closely with Product, Operations, Customer Support, Growth, and other functions to design and build out a reliable, performant, and secure platform for handling remittances across countries. As an early leader of the team, you will have a significant impact on our team culture, processes, and norms. Taptap Send is a cross-platform mobile app developed with React Native and TypeScript, which communicates with a backend service written in Kotlin and backed by a PostgreSQL database, all running on AWS and managed via Terraform and Ansible. This is a backend-focused role, but you will have opportunities to work on all parts of our tech stack. We value teamwork and autonomy, and face many exciting challenges, including scaling up to handle increased volume and complexity, helping our analysts derive business and product insights to drive growth and retention, and building internal tools for customer support and acquisition efforts.
