About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Regulatory Engineer to support the development and deployment of PV and Energy Storage product solutions. This role requires expertise with PV systems, Energy Storage systems, regulatory structures and processes, knowledge of electrical safety standards, and validation and compliance testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience and 10 years of experience with PV and/or energy storage system design and installation, including hands-on experience in hardware integration and testing.
  • Experience working in regulatory stakeholder processes, with utilities and jurisdictional authorities, and understanding of NEC, UL/IEEE standards, IEC standards.
  • Expertise in engineered applications and solutions for PV and energy storage system installations.
  • Understanding of electrical protection devices and safety standards
  • Hands-on experience with energy systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of integrated systems including large-scale PV arrays, energy storage, power converters, medium voltage power equipment.
  • Provide detailed analysis of systems, components, methods, including modeling to support design recommendations.
  • Develop test plans, requirements, drawings, and support electrical testing of individual and integrated components in accordance with industry standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide design and regulatory research for new products and applications involving a variety of energy systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance.
  • Document system designs, test results, and compliance reports, providing regular updates on project milestones.
