The Staff Hardware Electronics Engineer position will be a part of the R&D team focused on the next generation of robotic products for Telos Health changing the future of healthcare. The ideal candidate will have experience working in cross-functional teams, demonstrate expertise in electrical engineering, be able to work independently to resolve difficult technical problems, and have excellent communication skills to communicate broadly across engineering teams. You will be expected to design and develop Printed Circuit Board Assembly production test hardware, contribute to design control documentation including test protocol development, risk analysis, and implement electrical safety design and documentation that complies with regulatory requirements of the FDA, UL and TUV (specifically those related to IEC, EMC, CISPR, etc). Design electronic circuit board and robotic subassembly test fixtures that test motion control and sensor circuit performance and reliability. This encompasses mixed-signal, analog, and digital and data acquisition circuit design and collaboration with firmware, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to realize complex electromechanical test fixtures. Troubleshoot component, PCBA, and system level electronic failures. Maintain detailed records of frequency and type of failures and prioritize test engineering efforts. Perform DFM and DFT analyses of PCBAs, cables, and electronic subassemblies. Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement a product manufacturing and test plan that ensures hardware electronics quality and reliability. Conduct technical reliability studies and statistical evaluations to develop plans for implementing test methods and design changes to improve product quality and reliability. Coordinate EMI/EMC testing of product hardware and identify design improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as IEC60601-1, IEC60601-1-2, CISPR22, ISO for safety and EMC compliance in a regulated environment (UL, TUV, FDA). Facilitate board bring-up, test, and debug of newly designed printed circuit boards. Write electronic hardware design verification protocols and develop test vehicles for executing the protocols.
