The Staff DevOps Engineer will collaborate with Agile teams across a full stack of development tools and technologies, provisioning, configuring, maintaining, and debugging containerization, and designing cloud infrastructure surrounding secure networking best practices. They will help implement industry-leading technologies and toolsets to enable developers to innovate in record time. They will help create, evolve, scale, integrate, fortify, and automate our deployment pipeline and core services to solve unique and constantly iterating engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering and 6+ years of industry experience required or the equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux and/or cloud computing platforms (such as AWS) is required.
  • Identifies and provides recommendations for enhancing performance, assisting in implementation, and performing infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.
  • Acts as an escalation point to troubleshoot and resolve issues in hybrid and multi-cloud environments for any system, network, and infrastructure problems.
  • Drives architectural direction and improvements in organizational practices and processes.
  • Demonstrable scripting experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Go, Ruby, Python, Shell) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, builds, configures, administers, operates, and maintains components that comprise the DevOps environment (development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure).
  • Designs and maintains tools to automate operational processes, reduce operational friction, and increase engineering efficiency.
  • Integrate continuous testing tools to provide quick and timely feedback on the quality of the software release and code, enabling teams to integrate and deploy code with CI/CD pipelines in a secure, reliable, and efficient manner.
  • Contributes to team collaboration in order to enhance our CI/CD solution for the platform and logging infrastructures.
  • Defines standards and helps maintain DevOps Operational environments, automating and using infrastructure as code, ensures appropriate security and access levels to environment tools and resources.
