About The Opportunity We’re looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to help maintain and grow our tech platform that accelerates application engineers' productivity and operational excellence. The DevOps team enables the business to grow through systems, tools, and processes that support correctness, improve operations, adopt scalable system designs, manage costs, and improve engineering productivity. As an engineer on Wonder's DevOps team, you will build new components of our DevOps platform, provide customer support, and drive automation. This work ultimately supports every area of our business—from the production of tens of thousands of meals daily to delivery to our customers. The Impact You Will Make Cloud Infrastructure: Navigating Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as our growing cloud environment, with secondary familiarity in AWS or Azure. Containerization & Orchestration: Building and deploying containers to production, specifically utilizing Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or similar modern orchestration systems. Database Management: Proficiency in relational and document databases; we currently utilize PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cloud Spanner/Bigtable. Automation & CI/CD: Designing and implementing tools to automate developer needs, such as Google Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for seamless application deployment. Infrastructure as Code: Utilizing tools like Terraform or Pulumi to manage scalable cloud resources. Collaboration: Working directly with Software Engineers to improve code quality, optimize system design, and accelerate the development lifecycle.
