About The Position

DCFS is deeply committed to the welfare and protection of children. Our goal is to protect children by strengthening and supporting families. In every effort, from receiving hotline calls to reaching family reunification or foster care and adoption, children and families are our focus. Serves as Staff Development Training Administrator for Central and Southern Region; Manages the Department's Title IV-E Annual Training Plan, Training Budget, and Training Evaluation process; Coordinates regional professional development activities; In collaboration with the Division of Quality Assurance, provides leadership in the development of a system of performance analysis that identifies performance gaps and develops remedial training strategies; Conducts and provides input into various special projects and initiatives; Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires a master's degree in social work or a related human services field from a recognized college or university.
  • Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR four years of progressively responsible administrative experience with a master's degree in a related human services field
  • Of the 3 years of required experience, requires that the experience involve the administration of child protection services/investigations
  • Requires experience in developing and delivering training content
  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license.
  • This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and employees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Office of the Secretary of State that will be made available for examination and copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement of Economic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive Ethics Commission. (See Executive Order 15-09) Fines and penalties apply to untimely filings.
