Traditional Home Healthcare and Hospice is seeking a Staff Development Registered Nurse that implements and manages education, orientation, training programs for nursing staff to ensure compliance with regulations and high-quality care. They conduct skill assessments, provide continuing education, and mentor staff, often working with HR to onboard new hires an maintain training records. Requirements

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • Excellent assessment skills, documentation skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates good verbal, written, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in Home Health Care
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Proactive, problem solution mindset
  • CPR Certification
  • CNA Training

Responsibilities

  • Orientation & Onboarding: Develop and conduct orientation for new nursing staff, ensuring understanding of facility policies and procedures.
  • Educational Programming: Plan, implement, and evaluate in-service training and workshops for clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Competency Assessment: Assess nursing staff skills and competence, identifying areas for improvement or further education.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all nursing staff meet mandatory education and certification requirements (e.g., CPR) and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Clinical Consulting: Act as a mentor to nursing staff, helping them adapt to new technologies, evidence-based practices, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining staff credentials per agency policy.
