About The Position

Summary of Position: Responsible for managing, creating, developing and designing training materials, tools, resources and curriculum for the agency. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 2 years experience. Experience in field may be substituted for education with HR Director’s approval.
  • Detailed computer work
  • Sits or stands for majority of day depending on training needs.
  • Normal Office Environment
  • Travel expected as part of duties
  • Ability to bend, lift, stretch, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and to perform the physical requirements necessary to become a certified instructor in CPR, First Aid, and SCIP-R.
  • Completion of all mandatory training sessions and medical documents required by organization and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work in fast paced office, attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license that meets agency’s and insurance company’s standards (ongoing throughout tenure)

Responsibilities

  • Develops and provides training for trainers to maximize their abilities to impart information.
  • Develops and implements training programs including but not limited to new staff orientation, recertifications, Diversity, Incident reporting and other needs identified by agency or regulatory bodies.
  • Oversees documentation of training, ensuring it is disseminated to program and administrative staff to ensure compliance and accountability for having training completed.
  • Regularly reviews and assesses agency training needs to ensure staff are receiving the supports they need to perform position functions.
  • May assist in or complete writing grants or surveys designed to maximize or bring in training funds.
  • Develops, coordinates and disseminates training calendar and schedule.
  • Responsible for management and supervision of staff within department, ensuring that the work performed meets agency expectations.
  • Develops training guides, information, presentations, and other tools using a variety of media and print methods.
  • Oversees communication of educational opportunities in community to staff, encouraging use of tools and programs available to get further their educational goals.
  • Participates in maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
  • May be required to facilitate orientation on nights or weekends once certified.
  • May perform related duties as needed or required and designated by supervisor.
