Position Overview The Staff Developer/Clinical Trainer plays a vital role in delivering education and training programs for the facility, ensuring that all staff members are well-equipped to provide high-quality care to our residents. This position is designed to enhance the competencies of nursing staff and promote best practices throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Clear and active LVN or RN license in the State of California.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility in the supervisory role.
  • Experience in staff development, training, or educational roles.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices and regulations applicable to nursing staff.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead training sessions and facilitate learning.
  • Expertise with PointClickCare (PCC).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate training schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate all staff development activities and training programs with specific concentration on Licensed and Registered Nurses.
  • Develop educational materials and programs for in-service training aimed at enhancing staff skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and assess training effectiveness and staff performance, providing feedback and mentoring as necessary.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to ensure alignment of staff development initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning nursing associate staff training.
  • Conduct needs assessments and identify opportunities for improvement in training and development.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Report to the Director of Staff Education or Chief Clinical Officer regarding staff training progress and outcomes.
