We are building a multi-product ecosystem - live auctions, real time buying, streaming and more - and are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead efforts in building greenfield products and setting the technical foundations for future work. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a key player in shaping the infrastructure and operations strategy of the company. You will be responsible for leading initiatives to optimize systems, processes, and tools that support scalable and reliable applications.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Extensive experience with scalable, distributed systems and real-time technologies.
  • Strong background in video streaming technologies and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong background in CI/CD pipeline creation and management (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.) and automation frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of version control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Expertise in networking, load balancing, and web servers (Nginx, Apache).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, particularly in cloud environments.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and modern development workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar tools. Ensure efficient, automated testing and release processes.
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) by implementing best practices in cost management, scalability, and security.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to design and implement solutions that improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Implement security measures in infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and code deployment processes, ensuring data protection and compliance.
  • Act as a key responder in case of system outages, providing root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the DevOps processes and practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, promoting best practices and standards.

Benefits

  • The salary range for this position is $172,000 - $258,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
