Responsible for analyzing large data sets to develop multiple custom models and algorithms to drive innovative business solutions. Work on large project teams in order to provide analytical support and guidance to an assigned are on for large projects (for example, email targeting, business optimization, consumer recommendations) within Walmart eCommerce. Responsible for building large data sets from multiple sources in order to build algorithms for predicting future data characteristics. Those algorithms will be tested, validated, and applied to large data sets. Responsible for training the algorithms so they can be applied to future data sets and provide the appropriate search results. Responsible for researching new trends in the industry and utilizing up-to-date technology (for example, HBase, MapReduce, LAPack, Gurobi) and analytical skills to support their assigned project. Act as the subject matter experts for statistical analysis and modeling for their project team. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics (any), Engineering (any), Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years of experience in analytics related field; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics (any), Engineering (any), Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in analytics related field. Skills required: Ability to translate complex business problems across domains into structured data or mathematical formulations using appropriate analytical methods and tools. Source, prepare, and process big data using SQL, Hive, NoSQL, and PySpark. Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to extract trends, insights and variable relationships. Design experiments, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing using statistical inference to evaluate UI features, models, and business changes. Experience building machine learning models using Spark ML and scikit-learn; applying SVMs, Random Forests, Bayesian inference. Experience building deep learning models using TensorFlow and PyTorch; implementing neural networks, NLP, and computer vision for large-scale prediction and classification tasks. Build and orchestrate CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust and automated model deployment and management with MLOps, Kubernetes, and MLFlow. Experience with programming languages including Python, R for modeling code, numerical computing workflows, and automation scripts. Skilled in creating data visualizations and dashboards using Python visualization libraries (matplotlib, plotly, seaborn), R (ggplot), Tableau, and Power BI.
