With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical process engineering and manufacturing automation.
  • 5 years of experience designing and implementing automation solutions in an industrial environment.
  • 5 years of experience with CAD software, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming.
  • Experience in mechanical infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, a relevant field, or a professional engineering license.
  • Experience in estimation, mechanical design, operation, and commissioning of mission critical data center mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles and product quality management systems.
  • Experience in the data center industry or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of robotics, control systems, industrial automation, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for mechanical components, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Conduct data analysis on manufacturing performance to identify trends, root causes of defects, and lead process improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical engineers, software developers) to ensure integration of mechanical and automation solutions.
  • Perform business case evaluations for new manufacturing technologies and equipment investments, presenting recommendations.
