About The Position

The Staff Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in analyzing and managing cost-related financial data to support business decisions. This position will focus on cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, cost variance analysis, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and efficient cost control within our manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and variance analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and modeling.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and analyze cost accounting records, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to cost accounting.
Prepare and analyze cost variance reports to identify trends and provide recommendations.
Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies.
Support the development and monitoring of standard costs and ensure accuracy.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costs.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to enhance cost efficiency.
Prepare cost-related financial reports and assist with internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
