About The Position

Ceribell is a medical technology company focused on transforming the diagnosis and management of patients with serious neurological conditions. In this role, you will be responsible for automating and optimizing our development and deployment workflows, maintaining infrastructure-as-code, and ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of production systems. You'll champion DevOps best practices across the engineering organization and work closely with developers and infrastructure teams to scale systems, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as circleci, AWS codepipeline, Github actions or Jenkins.
  • Experience with observability tools like DataDog, CloudWatch.
  • Experience with logging tools and frameworks like Solarwinds, Splunk.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like terraform, Cloudformation.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, design patterns, and code versioning tools like Git.
  • Experience managing databases and caching technologies on cloud.
  • Experience with security scanning tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks including HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC2.
  • Understanding of typescript, python and ruby applications.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or working with sensitive medical data.
  • Familiarity with EEG data, its storage, and processing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment processes.
  • Create reusable patterns and templates to simplify builds and releases across multiple services and teams.
  • Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Support containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS/EKS.
  • Design, build, and maintain observability platforms spanning metrics, logs, traces, and events to enable comprehensive system visibility.
  • Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects that enhance deployment speed, cost efficiency, and platform reliability.
  • Champion best practices in software reliability, security, and scalability across the engineering organization.
  • Coach and mentor engineers on platform architecture, DevOps principles, and modern implementation strategies.
  • Embed with engineering teams to assist in adopting new technologies, troubleshoot complex issues, and solve problems that span multiple domains.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to improve tooling, automation, process, developer experience, and the overall engineering ecosystem.
  • Automate everything - from deployments to monitoring - to simplify operations and scale your impact.
  • Implement and manage secrets management, logging, alerts, and backup strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to builds, deployments, and infrastructure performance.
