About The Position
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Staff Civil Specialist to support construction monitoring, quality control and assurance of mine tailings storage facilities and heavy civil infrastructure designs as part of the Mining group in Denver Colorado. The role involves serving as a developing professional within specific domains of the field, applying knowledge of standard practices, techniques, and procedures for a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Responsibilities include performing construction monitoring, oversight, quality control and assurance (QA/QC) activities on active construction and mine sites, preparing daily construction activity reports, and assisting in the preparation of construction summary and as-built reports. The position requires planning, implementing, performing, and overseeing construction, field and laboratory testing programs, with approximately 90% of the work requiring extended field/travel time. The Staff Civil Specialist will develop alternate technical solutions and design options in support of the project team and will communicate and collaborate clearly with the design team, client, and contractor.
