Are you living your life's work? The staff chaplain will contribute directly to the mission and vision of the Spiritual Care and Wellness Department. The Chaplain will mentor CPE students, provide clinical consultation, clinical shadowing, and didactics to CPE students. The staff chaplain provides direct pastoral care using an inter-faith model to patients, their families, visitors and staff throughout PMPH. The staff chaplain serves on the Bio-Medical Ethics Committee as a consultant. Staff chaplain will report to Director of Spiritual Care and Wellness and assist with staff care, rounding, and critical incident debriefs. The staff chaplain leads a weekly chapel service. Staff chaplain also provides on-call coverage as needed. Staff chaplain will leverage thorough knowledge of religions, sacraments and rites commonly requested by hospital patients, visitors and staff to provide or facilitate person-centered care. Staff chaplain is responsible for provide spiritual care and wellness not only at end-of-life yet also, throughout the life cycle. Staff chaplain cultivates community clergy relationships to provide volunteer clergy support or coverage for clinical gaps.
