About The Position

The On-Call Chaplain will provide spiritual care during after hours, weekends and holidays to children, families, and staff of Children's MN. The On-Call Chaplain will communicate information about on-call cases and coordinate follow-up care with Staff Chaplains. The On-Call Chaplain will also coordinate spiritual care with community faith leaders and home spiritual resources as appropriate. Specialized Chaplains (ex. imams, shaman, American Indian spiritual leader, Buddhist etc.) will support the patient population they represent in addition to interfaith patient needs, as requested.

Requirements

• A graduate-level theological degree from an accredited college, university, or theological school.
• Minimum of four units of clinical pastoral education (CPE) programs.
• Documentation of current endorsement and/or ordination of good standing in accordance with the requirements of one's own faith tradition.
• One year of hospital experience, preferably with children.
