Position Summary: TrendAI is looking for a Staff Backend Developer to join our high-impact team building next-generation security solutions for strategic customers. In this role, you’ll operate across the full technology stack—designing intuitive frontend experiences, building scalable backend services, and deploying cloud-native infrastructure that powers real-world cybersecurity use cases. You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver seamless, high-quality solutions—ranging from core platform features to highly customized implementations. This is a hands-on role where your work directly influences how our products are adopted, scaled, and experienced in the field. We’re looking for engineers who are not only strong in full-stack development, but who also embrace AI-assisted development workflows to move faster, build smarter, and continuously improve engineering efficiency. A solid foundation in networking and distributed systems is key, as you’ll be working on secure, high-performance environments that operate at scale.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
7+ years of software engineering experience, including customer-facing deployments
Familiarity or experience with Cloud concepts.
Experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate workflows
Strong prompting skills for LLMs to support development, testing, and automation
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor others
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

Strong backend experience in Node.js, Python, Go, or Java)
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong SQL/data modeling skills
Familiarity with AI Concepts such as: Model Context Protocol (MCP) and SDD (Spec-Driven-Development)

Responsibilities

Drive cross-team initiatives in partnership with architects and engineering leaders to deliver scalable platform capabilities
Mentor and guide engineers, setting a high bar for technical excellence and delivery
Design, build, and maintain modern web applications across frontend, backend, and cloud layers
Lead customer-facing implementations, including advanced configurations and code-level customizations
Architect and integrate TrendAI technologies into scalable, production-ready solution stacks
Rapidly prototype and deploy solutions to address evolving customer and business needs
Analyze complex customer environments to design tailored, high-impact security solutions
Contribute to product direction by partnering with engineering leadership on roadmap and deployment strategies
Stay ahead of emerging trends in cybersecurity, AI, and software engineering
