Myers and Stauffer LC is seeking a Staff Auditor/Accountant to join our team, specializing in audit, accounting, data management, and consulting services for government-sponsored health and human service programs. With over 45 years of experience, we assist state Medicaid agencies and the federal Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services in navigating complex health care reimbursement and provider compliance issues. The Staff Auditor/Accountant will play a crucial role in performing reviews of Medicaid provider cost reports, analyzing health care provider financial information, conducting reimbursement calculations, and preparing written documentation to support professional decisions. Training in the government health industry will be provided to ensure employees feel confident in their roles from the outset. In this position, you will conduct desk reviews and various on-site audits, ensuring compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulations. You will be responsible for all phases of the audit process, including planning, research, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting of findings. Additionally, you will review applicable Federal and State policies and regulations associated with each specific audit type prior to performing the audit. Your ability to communicate effectively, gather and analyze data, report findings, and improve processes will be essential to your success. Maintaining the security and confidentiality of all protected health information is paramount, as is thorough electronic documentation of your work.
