About The Position

If you want to work at a prestigious law firm helping mainstream people like teachers and union employees with their legal needs, read on. Feldman, Kramer & Monaco is currently seeking several experienced attorneys to join our established Firm. The position entails answering legal questions and offering legal advice over the telephone in our Hauppauge, NY office. We are looking for a fulltime attorney to offer legal advice to individuals over the telephone. No case load. Must have been admitted to the NY Bar prior to 2020 and be in good standing. Retirees are welcome!

Requirements

Juris Doctor Degree plus NY state bar admission prior to 2020.
Experience preferably in Family Law, Landlord/Tenant, Employment, Collections, as well as Intellectual Property.
Excellent research, writing and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong customer service and personal service orientation
Ability to build rapport with clients and work in a collaborative atmosphere
Ability to ask pertinent questions, actively listen to answers and synthesize information in order to formulate advice based on sound judgement and strong knowledge of the law and legal precedence
Ability to keep client and Firm matters confidential

Responsibilities

Within the Legal Counsel Team manage incoming calls
Identify and assess customer's legal issue and document our proprietary software
Review documents on behalf of clients
Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Go the extra mile to engage customers and build a telephone relationship
