Staff Attorney
About The Position
The Office of the Public Defender in St. Albans, Vermont has an opening for a full-time staff attorney. This public defender will work in a staff office with four other attorneys, one investigator, and two legal assistants. The legal practice is a mix of criminal and juvenile law, and the office serves both Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. This is an exempt, full-time position with State benefits. The successful candidate is required to be a member in good standing of the Vermont bar or be eligible to obtain admission by waiver. Prior relevant legal practice or background in criminal law is preferred.
