About The Position
The Staff Attorney at Neighborhood Defender Service of Texas (NDS) is responsible for providing client-centered legal representation to low-income residents facing eviction proceedings in Harris County. This role is integral to the Harris County Eviction Defense Team, which aims to safeguard the right to secure housing and combat community destabilization through holistic legal services. The attorney will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to advocate for clients and ensure their needs are met throughout the legal process.
