About The Position

At NJM, we prioritize applicants looking to learn, collaborate and support our policyholders. We are seeking an attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation legal team with 3+ years of workers’ compensation litigation experience to defend formal claims venued in central/southern New Jersey.

Requirements

3 or more years of prior litigation or legal experience.
Workers’ compensation litigation experience preferred
Currently licensed to practice law in NJ
Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong negotiation, communication, and legal research skills
Ability to travel within the state and cover multiple counties

Workers’ compensation litigation experience preferred

Responsibilities

Defend the interests of NJM policyholders in New Jersey workers’ compensation court through the point of settlement or decision
Work with staff in the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents
Provide case recommendations, updates, and analysis to clients and internal Workers’ Compensation Claims staff
Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships
Perform other assigned duties
