About The Position
Iowa Legal Aid is seeking a Staff Attorney to enhance its services for veterans and rural Iowans, addressing significant unmet legal needs as highlighted in the Legal Service Corporation's Justice Gap Report. The role involves providing free legal assistance and community legal education, focusing on various legal issues such as housing, domestic violence, income maintenance, health care, individual rights, and consumer issues. Staff Attorneys will frequently appear in court and engage with clients through community outreach and advocacy efforts.
