  • Provide legal services to the Departments of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy; Natural Resources; and Agriculture and Rural Development.
  • Offer day-to-day legal advice to state agencies, boards, commissions, and officers.
  • Represent the state in administrative proceedings and courts.
  • Handle assignments of limited factual and legal complexity with substantial supervision.
  • Work on matters involving American Indian law and the Land Division Act.
  • Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.
  • Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.
  • For Attorney-Senior 16, four years of post-bar admission legal experience.
  • Experience in environmental law or related fields.
  • Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations.
