About The Position

Join our Engineering & Maintenance team in Yellowstone National Park! The Maintenance Staff Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Maintenance Manager and serves as the first point of contact for information and service requests. This position involves opening properties before guest arrivals, performing maintenance and repairs during the season, and closing properties at the end of the season. The role requires hands-on skills and problem-solving abilities to ensure the preservation of our iconic lodges and the rich history of the park.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Highly developed organizational skills.
• Outgoing yet professional demeanor.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record for the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Process Service Requests, Work Orders, and Purchase Requisitions using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of required repair parts and supplies.
• Order required materials, repair parts, and supplies.
• Train and guide the seasonal Staff Assistant.
• Perform periodic physical inventories of all storeroom items and a yearly inventory audit with the General Accounting Office.
• Assist team members with researching vendors and requested items.
• Receive and process all material deliveries made to the location.
• Answer telephone calls, 2-way radio calls, and respond to emails.
