This role is for a versatile, curious, and energetic Staff Applied Scientist II to join a team of passionate data scientists and engineers, forming the backbone for innovative data science and artificial intelligence developments at Visa acceptance. The position involves solving complex challenges on a global scale, inventing, designing, building, and testing products for a global customer base, and changing the way data products are developed at Visa. The focus is on defining, executing, and delivering product and technical features at scale quickly, promoting cross-functional collaboration and engineering excellence. The role requires an idea leader who brings industry best practices, balances demanding business capabilities with operational excellence, and meets regulatory, security, and privacy requirements. The ability to quickly grasp and evaluate new ideas and technologies, lead/influence multiple teams, and build a culture of innovation and excellence is crucial. This role will transform digital offerings by leveraging AI to enhance current product lines and develop new products for banking, fintech, and integration partners, enabling the next wave of innovation in payments. A strong technology leader with expertise in data science, agile delivery, building purpose-driven teams, and a background in complex integration projects is sought. Prior experience in payments or building high-volume transaction and data processing systems is preferred.
