About The Position

This role is primarily responsible for advancing and maintaining inspection technologies—including assisted defect recognition, additive process monitoring, and remote read—within critical additive manufacturing applications at the Auburn, AL facility. Ensuring compliance, security, and operational integrity, this position requires a strong technical foundation and a minimum of four years of experience in industrial inspection and data-driven process optimization. The ideal candidate will drive innovation by implementing emerging inspection technologies, enhancing defect detection capabilities, and integrating real-time monitoring solutions. Effective stakeholder engagement is crucial, requiring expertise in fostering adoption, coaching teams, and collaborating across organizational levels. Strategic problem-solving and decision-making in complex, ambiguous environments are essential, along with the ability to provide expert consultation to optimize business processes. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and leadership skills are vital for success, complemented by a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Experience in industrial inspection and data-driven process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain critical additive manufacturing inspection applications/technologies and related data processing platforms and services at the Auburn, AL facility.
  • Ensure application security & compliance, ensuring application & data integrity.
  • Support NPI/NTI program needs and development cycles to include remote read, assisted defect recognition, and additive process monitoring development cycles.
  • Proactively learn new tools and integrate new methods to drive improved outcomes.
  • Identify and assess new technologies that can add value and capability to GE.
  • Build rapport with the team and get buy-in for ideas.
  • Participate in change programs by planning implementation activities with other change champions.
  • Establish and communicate team members' roles in relation to their function and data.
  • Encourage groups to work together to resolve problems.
  • Provide options and counsel, driving dialogues that produce new perspectives and substantial innovation.
