About The Position

As a mobile Android developer at Stryker Corporation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. Your role will ensure robustness, scalability, and performance of the applications. You will collaborate closely with engineering technical leadership to establish architectural direction and ensure alignment with strategic technical goals. Additionally, you will help lead mobile Android development efforts, ensuring adherence to established coding standards and best practices. You will also work with product management teams to define requirements and ensure technical feasibility, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and provide realistic estimates for development tasks while assisting in planning sprints and release schedules. Compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, is crucial, and you will document technical implementations to support regulatory compliance and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience developing high-quality mobile applications for Android platforms.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a lead mobile Android developer role.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) or Java.
  • Proven ability to independently drive technical projects from conception to deployment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience developing mobile applications within the healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
