The Payroll Section is responsible for processing payroll for all civilian and uniformed members of service for the NYPD. The Payroll Section is seeking a Staff Analyst, I to perform professional accounting work, and who will be responsible for the following: - Analyze and audit the pending pay details report (160/161 report) - Process special projects on a case by case basis - Oversee the collection and recovery process for both separated civilian and uniformed members of the service - Issue formal notification letters to former employees detailing overpayment amounts and repayment options - Manage the intake of repayments and ensure all funds are accurately processed and forwarded to the Office of Payroll Administration (OPA) - Act as the primary point of contact for OPA and the Law Department to coordinate legal recovery efforts and reconcile payroll records
