About The Position
The Staff Analyst/Transportation Planner Series - Operations Planning position at MABSTOA involves making recommendations to improve the bus network and bus service in one or more boroughs of New York City. This is achieved through in-depth data collection and analysis, developing maps and design principles, and participating in public engagement efforts. The employee will work as part of the planning team responsible for enhancing bus service, whether in Bus Network Redesign or in Regular/Express/Select Bus Service. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance for improving bus service, evaluating proposals to change bus stops, developing graphic representations of complex data, and engaging with the public through outreach efforts.
