Provide leadership in areas of training, sales, and implementation of crop consulting programs. Promote the Crop-Trak program to location, general, and sales staff, as well as customers in a given territory. Assist agronomy staff with training, complaint calls, and providing agronomic assistance to locations. Help in the acquisition and placement of crop consulting talent. Scout and consult on enrolled acres to assist the consultant team. Create synergy between crop consultants, precision personnel, location managers, and sales staff. Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Agronomy or other agricultural degree or 5 to 10 years of crop consulting or agronomy-related experience preferred
  • You have or are willing to develop basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CCA Certification preferred
  • Strong agronomy background

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, technical expertise, and agronomic knowledge to a team of consultants in a given territory.
  • Provide leadership in areas of training, sales, and implementation of crop consulting programs.

  • Evaluation of recruiting and hiring of crop consultants and interns within the district
  • Evaluation of crop consultant and intern development
  • Evaluation of teamwork with other department ASMs and retail sales efforts in seed, crop protection, plant foods, and general agronomic support of retail locations
  • Crop Protection sales, Plant Foods tons, Corn Seed sales, Soybean Seed Sales—subject to alignment with regional goals
  • Monthly Crop-Trak (Nutri-Track) sales and opportunity reports from salesforce, accompanied by relative dates, deadlines, and other pertinent information
  • Periodic updates at morning huddles, including key processes, events, programs and requested technical advice
