About The Position

Hoyt, Filippetti & Malaghan, LLC is a growing full-service accounting and advisory firm serving clients throughout Southern New England. We provide our clients with professional, personalized services and guidance in a wide range of financial and business needs. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing Federal and State tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, businesses, and not-for-profits. You will also provide accounting and tax services for small businesses and individuals, execute the day-to-day activities of attest engagements, and support the execution of high-quality engagements. Additionally, you will prepare financial reports and actively engage in personal and professional development.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with management and clients
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize engagements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college/university

Nice To Haves

• CPA not required however 150 credit hour eligibility and pursuit of certification is encouraged
