Great Hill is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our federal client.

Requirements

  • Three (3)+ years of experience in accounting, with at least one (1) year in federal or DoW government accounting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GFEBS or other DoW enterprise financial systems
  • Experience supporting PBC package preparation for external auditors
  • Progress toward CPA, CDFM, or CGFM certification
  • Experience with automated reconciliation tools or data analytics (e.g., Google Colab, Apps Script)

Responsibilities

  • Experience performing account reconciliations across budgetary and proprietary accounts
  • Experience preparing and processing journal entries in a federal financial accounting system
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal accounting standards
  • Experience supporting financial statement preparation, including compilation of supporting documentation
  • Experience gathering and packaging documentation for audit samples or data calls
