Under broad supervision, reconciles and adjusts various general ledger accounts and/or bank statements. May perform moderately complex analysis of performance results. Compiles, consolidates, and analyzes accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements and reports. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Job Summary: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accurate records of financial transactions, and maintaining strong communication with clients to ensure timely payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for Fixed Asset management and Tax.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in accounts receivable preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Payment Processing: Accurately record incoming payments and update financial records.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collections: Monitor accounts for overdue payments and contact clients to facilitate payment.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding billing issues, account inquiries, and payment processing.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and other relevant financial data for management review.
  • Compliance: Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies and financial regulations.
  • General Ledger: Month-end and Year-end closing processes.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintaining Fixed Asset Records. Capitalization, Depreciation, Disposals, and Audits.
  • Tax: Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Tax Reporting.
